Chicago has 17 varsity sports... how many of you guys are playing something next year? I'll be playing football, and I've seen on here some track athletes....but there has to be more out there. Please list your sport and position (or events).

And not to make this thread overly private.... so have any of you looked into Chicago's choice of intramural sports? Seems like some fun stuff there- I'd love to get into intertube waterpolo, walleyball, or broomball.

Thomas- I'm a clumsy ass guy, so I leave the sports to you guys, but I LOVE to watch football and lacrosse. And waterpolo. And Tennis. And Soccer.

hey, i agree with ICried when it comes to golf... I know that not too far away to the southeast of the campus there are two golf courses... maybe we could start something together!!!

Sounds good you guys, but lets keep it going. And if you guys start golfing, count me in. I'm not very good, but my best friend is like a 1 handicap and he is going to teach me this summer....but any girls playing any sports next year? volleyball, softball, soccer maybe?

I'm just psyched about their athletic facilities open to non-athletes. I used to play basketball, water polo, and swim, but right now I just like that I can work out on my own.

Chicago offers many IM sports opportunities and club sports. My S is in a martial arts club, and the University has paid for two trips to CA this year to compete in National events. As to the golf club, I believe it is still true that any 10 students can form a team/club and the University must try and find a coach.

I went 6.4h in the 55m (only 2 races and only 1 with spikes) and my best 100m so far this year has been 11.1h, but I haven't had conditions for any better (head winds at every meet + Pittsburgh weather below freezing half the time). Went 22.9h in the 2 last meet. Look forward to seeing ya there!

Holyspirit and davan- I'm running track for the first time this year (hurt my shoulder, no baseball) and i am having alot of fun .....would running around 2:05-2:10 800m be good enough to hold my own in D3 track?

pianoman- the girl's soccer team is hot? ha aren't they pretty good too...like in the final four last year or something?

they're amazing--they were in the final four last year and like four years ago they lost in like the last 30 secs. however, they are losing their all american this year so who knows

and some of them are pretty hot--they actually are pretty normal kids too
