Congratulations Coffee!!! Put your housing deposit in immediately! This will secure your priority number for choosing dorms. There are two brand spanking new dorms, Wildwood and Degraff, that will be ready for fall (not sure about summer). The dorms on the East side of campus have been renovated but you have to purchase a meal plan to live in those. Read through the previous posts in this forum...there is a lot of info for you. What are you planning to major in?
Check out the housing website:

mostlikey political Science.
i submitted the application for housing...now i wiat for my number right? and then submitt the depsit of 225 dollars? or how does that work?

From the housing website:
To apply for on-campus housing you must be formally admitted to FSU. To apply electronically, please complete the following steps:

Read the Terms and Conditions of the Housing Agreement.

Select the appropriate link below to access the Housing Agreement.

Once on the log-in page, select the appropriate term and year and click the "continue" button. Follow the online instructions for completing the agreement.

You will be required to submit a $225 prepayment after you have successfully completed the application process. If you fail to submit the required prepayment within 10 calendar days of applying for Housing, the agreement will be canceled.

There is a link on that page to submit the prepayment. You must do this right away (see above).

whays your priority number, mine is 1380...is that good..

i have no idea. When i got my accpetance online.
there was a link..which i clicked and submitted my accpetance. They have yet to give me a housing number. Does that mean that i have not completed Housing yet? wow im soo confused. What didu do yankee?

I believe that you need to submit the payment before receiving a priority number.

Yes, submit a payment, my dad did that part.

Go to: http://www.housing.fsu.edu/ and submit your application online for housing. Do it asap...that priority number sticks with you.

Congratulations!

1380 is definitely good enough to get an on campus dorm spot for Fall.

On Feb. 9th - you can submit the application for summer housing which is separate from the Fall housing application and requires a $100 deposit.

DORM CHOICE INFORMATION:

Some of the dorms require that you are selected for a living/learning community like Bryan and Cawthon. A meal contract is required in these renovated suite style dorms.

Landis is a newly renovated suite style dorm for 2006 designed for honors students. A meal contract is required.

Reynolds is a renovated suite style dorm that requires that you sign the wellness agreement. A meal contract is required.

Jennie Murphree is a renovated suite style dorm for women that requires a meal contract.

Broward and Gilchrist are renovated suite style dorms that require a meal contract.

Wildwood and DeGraff are brand new for 2007 suite style dorms and do not require a meal contract.

Salley is an older style "suite" dorm. No meal contract is required.

Florida prepaid dorm contract holders have priority for the following older hall style dorms as long as they are listed as their first priority and they apply by March 1: Dorman, Deviney, Kellum and Smith. No meal contract is required and the hall bathrooms are cleaned during the week.

McCollum and Ragans are apartment style dorms that are for upperclass undergraduates. No meal contract is required.

thanks soo much:)

According to our records you have not been admitted to Florida State University for the term and year you have selected. You cannot apply for on-campus housing at this time. If you selected the wrong term and year, or entered your Social Security Number incorrectly, you can return to the login process and re-submit the correct information.

it keeps telling me this. wHY?

Patience...the housing database apparently needs to be updated.

Keep trying and if there is no change by Monday call Housing first, then Admissions for an explanation.
