That’s what I was alluding to. If graduation or rentension rate changes we can guage what will happen. The only other significant factors would be endowment and reputation. Which again can’t be seen or measured well until the rankings are actually out.
@merc81 : Interestingly, it is one of many lists that put the program among the top, and what it also does is dispel stereotypes that places like Emory, MIT, and Hopkins are one or two trick ponies at the undergraduate level. The amount of slander thrown at Emory and Hopkins (but especially Hopkins-because it is a bigger target in terms of overall prestige) is ridiculous. The constant: “It’s only good at the sciences and the students are cut-throat” I see on here is disappointing and totally ignorant, especially coming from a bunch of teenagers with high board scores and GPAs from HS which should signal that they know how to research and think critically. Giving hearsay a higher priority than evidence should be unacceptable to high achievers, but oh well.
