If you have been admitted to sixth college, this is a forum for pre-student interaction.(Y'know before Triton Day comes-- APRIL 7th!)
Hi, to everyone~
Are you guys excited? :D

Hullo to you too jadehyorin!
I’m uber excited, yes i am! Didn’t think i’d make it to san diego yet here it happened!
guessing you’re going to triton day?

Heck yes I am!~ (& CONGRATS !)
Are you going to Triton Day?
Btw, I recommend for you to join this group on FB, so that you’ll be able to interact with future UCSD students.

Yup, I RVSP’ed!
I would most definitely join this group, EXCEPT i don’t have a facebook (I know, i’m a minority of minorities). I’ve been tempted to make one although…
Man, more people need to join this thread! COME ON GUYS, IT CAN’T BE JUST US TWO WHO MADE IT INTO SIXTH!! x)

I made it to Sixth! I was shocked I even got into UCSD!

Heehee, that seems to be the common reaction among a lot of admitted kids…we are all very shocked with getting into ucsd. for a little bit, i was expecting another ucsd message notifying me that they made a mistake…maybe they did…man, id rather not think about that…
Anyhoo, YOU plan on going to triton day, spoo26?

P.s. might as well be a little more open with myself. after all, this is a “get to know each other” thread.

“hi. I’m roopoo (not my real name, duh X) I live in a pretty secluded desert town. It just recently snowed. In late march. Anyways, i ran cross country and track and i have an obsession with…idk…smelling new shoes.” (i realize how noobish i sound right now X))
Okay, thats a figment of my life shared. anyone else would like to join show and tell?

Congrats to you too spoo26 ^.^!

& nice to meet you “roopoo” xD Lucky you~, you live in a place where it snows. While on the other hand where I live, IT DOESN’T SNOW AT ALL :c. When it hails, everyone gets excited and considers it as ‘snow’ Lols… I’m currently the Senior class vice pres and part of student gov which I love being a part of whooo! And this thursday I’m going to attend a HOSA conference; which is a student organization for medical students (so excited, awww yeah~) & don’t worry I have an obsession with the scent of a library (zomg.) We all have peculiar interests.

Are both committed to UCSD right now? or … are there other colleges you have in mind? :o

I applied to Occidental college but i still don’t have a reply from them yet…but chances are I’m gonna go to UCSD anyways X)

Btw, UCSD finally made a facebook page! Go one and see!! :)

I made it to sixth too!
can anyone going to triton day share what they experience about ucsd , can’t go cause I’m an international student!thx!
congrats to all admitted students btw.

I made it. Unfortunately I can’t make it to Triton day, but I hope everyone is friendly in Sixth College.

Congrats to you guys too!
@roopoo What are your pro’s about UCSD ?
@hky288 @Pineappollis : I hope so as well~, What do you guys have as majors? :o
& I’ll be glad to share my experiences on Triton day. c: no problemo

@jadehyorin thanks! maths/econ

hi all!
congrats to those admitted to 6th! i’ll be going to the same college. :D

@roopoo: I run XC too! 3 years to be exact. we should go for a run sometime.

sorry for disappearing, life got a little busy X)

Anyways, Triton day was pretty crazy. getting a parking space was such a terrible ordeal X) otherwise, I enjoyed the experience. Everyone was friendly, i LOVED the way sixth college’s residence is structured, and the weather was nice and warm. Good stuff. For anyone else who went to triton day, share the experience!

@jadehyorin: pros: well, i’m not yet a student there, but i’ll just put down what i got from ucsd during triton day: the campus was really nice, the college system really put a personal feel to ucsd, the education seems competitive enough yet manageable at the same time…well, just a whole bunch of general stuff X) once i start school, i’ll write down more detailed and personal pros…
@sniperjake1994: cool beans, fellow xc runner! i ran 2 years, 4 years of track and field. and i agree! lets DO IT.

@roopoo Thanks, makes me really want to attend UCSD!

Hey did u guys get to see the bathrooms? I didn’t get a chance to. How were they? Also is it true two cabins have coed bathrooms?

@youseesdee: well, the bathrooms…it really wasn’t anything spectacular, really. There were about 4ish, 5ish showers i think, and sinks. The toilet room was a separate room X)
Coed bathrooms? Never heard of anything like that. Seems like risky business to me X) Otherwise, the suites (i think thats what you call it…) had 4 rooms, where people could dorm triple, double, or single. there was a small lounge area within the suite. like i said, i absolutely loved how sixth college structured it’s residency, since it felt more spacious and stuff like that X)

@hhy288: UCSD really made me happy. I think if you went to Triton day you would’ve enjoyed the campus immensely. I did :)

Also, forgot to introduce myself…
Whadduppp mah peeps undeclared major leaning towards bio! Freaking excited :D
