Future transfer student in desperate need of advice

I go to (in my opinion) a garbage university. I started in Spring 2013, and right now I'm completing my second semester. My GPA so far, is a 3.71. I've taken Chemistry 1 (A), and I got a B in the lab, Calculus (B), a Liberal Studies course (A), and Spanish (A).

Currently I'm taking the second Chemistry class, I'm also teaching a problem solving workshop for Chemistry 1 (Since only like 5-10 people made an A in the class, they asked me to be a T.A this semester, they also give me 1 credit for my work)
I'm taking English 1, Sociology, and Biology 1.

I'm going to be a Biology major, and I'm dreaming of going to Medical school. Everything seems on track right now...but I just can't stand my University. It's got a horrible reputation, I'm surrounded by generally "stupid" people (The sad truth) and honestly I'm embarrassed to go here.

I know I may sound shallow for saying those things, but at this point, I don't care.... I just want to leave.
I was forced to go to this University to be close to home, and I'm really regretting it.

All I want is some advice.

I want a school where the general population is "smart". I don't want a religious school. I want NO Greek Life. Maybe some decent on campus housing...and most importantly A SCHOOL WITH A STRONG BIOLOGY DEPARTMENT.

I'll be honest, I can't tell why I feel this way about the other students, and this university. It may be because my (now ex) gf goes to a much better school than I. It's much more well known, it's respected.. etc.

My GPA like I said before is a 3.71. I know I have to keep this up. I'm looking to transfer after this school year. I don't know what you would consider me as of right now (Second semester freshman I guess..) since this is only my second semester, but I really need some help on this. I just want to know of some schools that fit these criteria.
I want others to be proud of me, and I want to be proud of myself. I don't think I can continue at this school much longer.

I appreciate any advice you might have.

Thanks

A little bit more information

My high school GPA was ok, it was like a 3.7.
ACT score was garbage, it was a 24. Should I retake it in hopes of making a higher score?

“I’m going to be a Biology major, and I’m dreaming of going to Medical school.”

How much are you paying for your current university, and how much money would be available to pay for wherever it is you would transfer to? You will need serious money to pay for Med School, and frankly, Med Schools don’t give a rip about where you completed your undergraduate education. They care about your overall GPA, your GPA in the pre-Med coursework, your MCAT scores, your letters of recommendation, and your volunteer activities and shadowing of medical professionals.

Look around your current university and the science departments there. If you are their star pupil for the next three years, your experience will be very different (and the likelihood of admission to Med School will be much higher) than if you transfer to a “harder” institution where your grades are no good.

Give your current institution another semester. If the science departments are half-way decent, the incompetent students will transfer to other majors (or fail out entirely), and your upper-level classes will be comprised of students who are committed to their studies.

I am giving this university another chance. The thing is, if it doesn’t work out over here, if I truly cannot stand being here anymore, then I’m going to need options.
In terms of how much I’m willing to pay per year for Undergrad… I’d say between $20,000 and $30,000 a year. I’m an NC resident, so I suppose I could go to Chapel Hill, but that school had far too many people with no self-respect. Far too many snobs there as well. I don’t doubt that I can get in there, but I want other options. Other schools to look into, and possibly attend.

bumpppp!!!

BUMP
Please help hahaha. Any other advice at all?
