Future WashU Grad Student

Hello everyone. I just visited WashU this past weekend (I will be attending grad school their - Olin Business School - MS Finance) and I just wanted to say how much I loved the University! The campus is beautiful and very lively and the students all seem very academic (yet fun-loving). Everyone was very friendly and overall I was extremely impressed with the school. I will be attending Olin for business school this Fall. I just wanted to come on here and say how much I was impressed with the university (for anyone considering the school for undergrad or grad studies). I have heard many great things on this forum about WashU and everything was confirmed by my visit.

Hi nelly0!

Congratulations on getting into WashU’s business school, and it’s wonderful to hear that you liked the vibe of the campus and the students!

I’m a WashU undergrad, and I agree my experience at the school has been nothing short of amazing. I have been able to participate in research in two different fields, explore new interests, and meet people whom I could laugh, debate, and discuss issues with! WashU is definitely a place where I laughed and learned a lot. My idealism and dreams from high school were bolstered, not dampened, from the rigorous courseload and challenging classes. So in the spirit of academia and the comraderie of the student body here, I want to say welcome to WashU!

Best,

Hey Zenith,

Thanks for your welcome message! :-). I accepted my offer from Olin before I visited the campus (the reputation of the school and program were enough for me to accept immediately), however, I was somewhat concerned because I had not visited beforehand. I can’t tell you how much of a relief it was to come to the campus (and the city of St. Louis) and find that it was the perfect fit. I guess the best way to describe it would be to say that everything just “felt right”. Needless to say, I am extremely excited about joining the WashU community this Fall.

best,
