Fws?

Why can we sign up for FWS right now? I thought we did ballots for those... =P

I can also add out-of-college classes…strange…

The ballots aren’t supposed to open until the end of July…o_O

I was able to search for them, but I wasn’t able to add them to my current course list.

I know they aren’t supposed to start til then… haha.

But really? I could add them… weird. I didn’t though, since I haven’t decided yet on which one I want to take.

Oh lol. I got a message saying that enrollment for those courses would begin later.

CAS gets to enroll in Cals courses and others now???

But how will I know if the FWS I want to enroll in will fit in my current schedule?

cadiumred: I think there are only a few out-of-CAS departments that CAS students can register for now (ex. Biology)

mariam: You can see the FWS times in the Student Center or on schedulizer, so you can pick and choose that way.

Exactly - and on a related note, how often do the seminars take place in a week?

When the brochure comes out, you should be able to see what days/times they take place. Usually it’s M/W/F with shorter class times, or T/TH with longer class times (at least, that’s what it looked like in the spring 09 brochure)

I really really hope I get into the M/W/F Writing about Film in the 10am ish timeslot. I planned out my entire schedule for it to fit in perfectly there.

we start balloting for FWS on July 30th
i heard we get 5 ballots each?

^^ The way it works is you put down your top 5 (in order), and a random lottery assigns you a pecking order which it then goes down to give priority. If it gets to your turn and your first choice is filled, it will go to your second, and etc. (If I’m incorrect in this someone please correct me haha.)
