so i signed up for princeton review a while back with a fake name, to my suprise i now get 1,000 spam emails a day for the fake name i registered to princeton review under my real email.....shady stuff

I don’t get a bunch of junk e-mail and I signed up for Princeton Review with my real e-mail address…

A lot of companies sell their mailing lists to third parties in order to make money. Third party companies love to get their hands on mailing lists to advertise through…Princeton Review is no exception, and it’s not at all surprising that they do it (if they do, indeed). Even companies who say that they won’t share your e-mail or give out your personal information are sometimes suspect in this.

Your best bet is to keep one e-mail for business and only send that to your schools, friends and family, and potential employers/internships/summer programs - and then set up another account solely for joining online things.

Me neither…
