g.p.a range

What is more imporant unweighted or weighted gpa? Whta is usually the range in which kids get accepted in top tier colleges or even the ivy leagues? Forget about the sat scores or ec's. What is the cut off for a gpa? 3.67 or higher unweight?

Colleges usually look at unweighted GPA, and whether you've taken a hard course load (AP, Honors, or Accelerated classes all 4 years). Usually 3.6-7 or above unweighted GPA will qualify you somewhat (in THAT regard) for ivy leagues, but beware because there are a lot of exceptions. Then again you need great SATs, ECs, etc. too, since GPA isn't everything.

Besides, if you got a 4.0 from basic concepts classes, that won't help you at all.
