frankly speaking, I dont know much about umich at all but I am going to learn about umich from today and apply.
My humble stats are 3.7ish uw gpa 4.1ish weighted GPA + 2070 SAT1 and ec's
I wanna apply to LSA as science undecided. Whats LSA like ? Is LSA like the one of the most competitive colleges within umich?</p>

<p>Yes LSA is relatively easier to get into compared to Ross or engineering. LSA includes most of U of M undergrad students because it has almost all the majors. Look on google for more info…</p>

<p>Guys, it is a myth that Engineering is harder to get into than LSA. Each has its own preferred criteria, and they varry. The CoE would prefer applicants with higher Math scores and LSA prefers applicants that are more well rounded. Both expect students to be ranked high and have high unweighed GPAs and tough high school curricula. The average SAT scoreof admitted students to LSA and Engineering is virtually identical (1400 out of 1600) with LSA students having slightly higher CR and W scores and Engineering students having higher Math scores.</p>
<p>In terms of acceptance rates, the CoE accepts 55% of applicants whereas LSA accepts under 45% of applicants.</p>
<p>Like I said, the CoE is not more selective than LSA, it is merely different in its approach to admissions.</p>
<p>Now, where I will agree is that the CoE is more self-selective. The averagre applicant to the CoE is probably more qualified that the average applicant to the college of LSA. Furthermore, LSA tends to be more “random” in its acceptances.</p>

<p>Yeah, based on my stats, I had a lot better chance of getting accepted in Engineering than LSA.</p>
