I will be attending a precollege program at Emory University in the Summer of 2014

I am a male who lives in atl ga.

What could I do to help improve my chances? I am a junior currently.
Would applying Early Action help?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated

Well your SAT is right around the 50% mark of their freshman class so you have that going for you. However, one thing that might hold you back is that 10th grade GPA so be sure to maintain your current grades and that shouldn’t be too big of an issue (assuming those numbers are unweighted).

As far as improving chances you should consider taking the ACT, some people are better at one test than another and having a strong ACT score to back up your strong SAT score wouldn’t hurt your application. Also applying EA to Georgia Tech may increase your chances slightly, not to mention allow you to apply for school scholarships so definitely consider taking that path. Being that you’re still a Junior I would highly recommend taking part in more EC’s (relevant to your career interest if possible) to even further strengthen your application as well as continue to participate in the EC’s you’re currently in because colleges would rather see 4 successive years of an activity instead of 4 different activities for 1 year each.

All that being said, this school is about a high match/ match in my opinion for you.
