GA Tech Honors

I was wondering what the benefits were in the honors program...right now I'm trying to decide between GA Tech honors and UGA honors. If anyone has any info about it that would be great. The acceptance letter specified some things, but was sorta vague compared to the UGA Honors acceptance package. Thanks a lot!!!

Don't think I'm hijacking this thread, I just to know whether students apply for the honors program, or students are offered to enroll it when they are admitted.

In the acceptance package they said all you had to do was email them if you wanted to be considered for honors. I was about to do that, but I saw that only 150 out of 3000ish get in.

You should read up on the GTHonors program. It is not advanced or harder classes, per se, as they consider ALL the classes at GT to be advanced. Rather, the honors classes are more like a Gifted and Talented program. At the Preview Tech day, they gave an example of an Honors class they taught and it was something like "How the game of soccer affects international relations". They are looking more for the "thinking outside the box" type person.

thanks for the responses...unc please...u might as well apply lol. i applied and was amazed to get in lol...very amazed...yeah, they seem to be looking for ppl who "think outside the box" or w/ever.

To answer the OP's question, you'd probably be much better off at Gtech's Honors over UGA's honors.
