I recieved the summer offer admission to tech. From what I read this means I got accepted; I just have to start earlier to get a head start... Right? I still can't believe I got in. Anyways, has participated in this program before? If you could share your experience and give me some tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Yes, you either have to start in the summer or not at all. I have had friends who have started during the summer term. They’ve said it’s good because you can ease into the whole college groove and get some intro classes out of the way, but a little rough because it means you will be going for three semesters straight, on top of just getting out of high school. If you really want to go to Tech, then it’ll probably be worth it.

I did this.

Honestly, when I first found out I was like “aw man I have to go during the summer?” However, it was not that bad. It allows you to get a head start, and lets you get familiar with the campus. They limit the amount of credits you take during the Summer, so it really lets you ease into college life, so when you are taking a full load of classes in the Fall, you already know you way around campus.

Will there be scholarships available to help cover for the tuition cost of this course? I saw it was around $2,000 + $1,700 (dorms) for just 6 hours of credit. If so, how do I apply for such scholarships. I did summit the OSFA for 2011 Summer and another for 2011-2012 Fall/Spring. Also can someone explain what 6 hrs credit is? I know this means I can only take 2 classes, but why would I need 5 weeks to attend 6 hrs of courses?

GT limits the number of hours that you can take in the summer.
