GA Tech Transfer Chances... 4.0 GPA

I'm a Junior at a small liberal arts school that's out of state... Wanting to transfer in for the spring semester.

I'm an in-state resident.
4.0 GPA
Chemistry/Math double major

I applied into the chemical engineering program.

I'm afraid of my chances because I have never taken an engineering class... I have all the prereqs (physics, calc I-II, linear algebra, organic, etc...). Right now I'm taking Classical Mechanics at another university and vector calculus.

It's been 2 weeks since I applied... Should I change my desired major online to something like applied mathematics? I'm considering this because it's less competitive that chemical engineering and I would enjoy it just as much. Will I get beat out by the transfers who have engineering classes under their belts?

Don’t beat yourself up. You have a 4.0 GPA. Just sit back and wait for the offers to roll in.

Yeah but I’m worried about all the people already majoring in engineering at another college transferring in… Wouldn’t they already have an advantage because of the classes?
