ga tech vs UIUC vs purdue

hey, if anybody knows these 3 schools pretty well and think u can give us a general overview to which one is better for engineering, please write!!! i’m personally more interested in electrical

Which ranks highest.
1.UIUC
2.Purdue
3.Georgia Tech

Personally, this is how I would rank these schools based on academics:
1. GA Tech
2. Purdue
3. Illinois

However, you might also want to consider the location and social life of each of these universities. GA Tech is located in downtown ATL, which is a cool setting, but it is the only city in the area. If you decide upon GA Tech expect to be spending most of your time within the city. Also, GA Tech has a small female population and people seem to keep to themselves much more than other univesities. But you never know, you could find a few good friends that make the experience enjoyable. Academics here focus on facts and skills much more than concepts. The university offers little to none slack, and the typical courseload will require many long nights. The EE degree offered here will offer you more leverage in the workplace than the other colleges due to the toughness of GA Tech's classes. However, the difference may be negligible, depending upon your own views. Purdue offers a great program, as well, but with many of the social aspects that are absent at GA Tech. Illinois also offers a strong program and a university social life, but in my opinion, it is not quite at the level of the two other institutions (in respect to EE).

No matter which college you choose, you will definitely get your money's worth. Just be sure to be happy with whatever path you may choose.

Overall, I'd say

UIUC

Georgia Tech

Purdue

But, for engineering, it's a tough call. Georgia Tech is certainly very, very good in this regard. But, then again, so is UIUC.

I go with
1.Georgia Tech
2.UIUC
3.Purdue.

UIUC is the best out of the three for EE.

Agreed. I have a friend whom goes there and is very happy with it. I believe they're #3 in the nation for EE.

I'd say...
1. UIUC
2. GA Tech
3. Purdue

UIUC
.

can someone come up with a reason other than the fact that UIUC is ranked higher than ga tech by usnews week?
