GA Tech vs UMich vs UIUC - chemical engineering

I have been admitted to GA Tech, UIUC, but still havent recieved the admission decision from UMich. However I am pretty sure I will be admitted, so I need to make a decision as soon as possible so I dont spend too much time on this. My major on all of them is Chemical Engineering. I know that the three of them are excellent universities, and that is why I am having a hard time on making a decision. The factors that I consider the most are (on a descending order): quality of education (specifially on my major), prestige, chances of getting into a graduate university (like MIT), campus/facilities, sorrounding city. I would appreciate any other useful comments, opinions and pros/cons to help me decide. Thanks.

PD: I am an international applicant. Cost is not an important factor. I have also been admitted to UC San Diego, should I also consider this university, or are my other options clearly superior?

Hi… I too am an international student and have admits at Georgia Tech (Comp Engg), UIUC (Comp Science) and UMich - Engg. Just looking at some pros and cons

I already decided to go to Georgia Tech. I love the “tech” feeling of the university, and the engineering orientation. In my opinion it has the best engineering programs among the three, and also Atlanta is a great city. The other two are also top engineering schools, however, I think Gatech wins the prize.

Congrats to you on making your final decision. Good luck at GT.

Congratulations! Between the three there really wasn’t a “bad choice”. Well, unless you dislike snow.

Hey, I’m kinda in the same situation
I’m going to study chemical engineering and I was accepted into UVA and GT.
UVA is much cheaper because I’m in-state but I’m interested in GT’s much stronger program. Is it worth the extra $17,000 a year or so?
Another thing is that the prestige at UVA is higher, but it’s not that much of a difference…

I don’t have time to give a detailed answer right now, but I will say that UVA’s engineering program is very good - much better than its ranking.

Also, GT’s overall reputation is very good, much better than it’s ranking, especially in science and math related fields.
