Who else thinks that the literature test was freakin' impossible? I mean, geez. I got a 770 on my SAT I Verbal, a 780 on my SAT II Writing, and a 690 (#$#!!%$#) on the Literature test. Talk about wrecking the nice "strength in the humanities" thing I had going there. Ridiculous test.

yeah..i only got a 740...even though i did well on the verbal...but i didn't study at all...my percentile probably sucks!

Ridiculous test, just because you didn't do so well on it?

It actually surprised me today...

800 Writing
790 Verbal
790 Literature

I was expecting a lot lower for Literature. And a 690 is a perfectly good score. No complaining.

moi? 750 verbal, 770 writing 700 literature.

No, this test really is rediculous. Granted, I've never studied poetry in my life, nor have I ever had any interest in reading poetry... Even AP english teachers would agree that this test is a load of crap.

That being said, my terrible scores are:

700 Verbal
740 Writing
700 Lit

On the 3 tests november tests, I did quite poorly :(.

730 US History (Grr, history is my strongest subject, but I hate US History even though I got a 5 on the AP exam)

740 Writing (This really sucks because i'm almost positive I got an 11 or 12 on the essay. For some reason, I suck at the multiple choice section. Last time I took it I got a 10 on the essay and missed 16 MC questions. This time, my essay was much better...)

630 Literature (I knew I bombed this test. I was so frustrated after the US history test. This sucks, cause my score dropped 70 points last time).

Anyway, I suppose 740, 730, and 700 are decent scores, but I think i'm just gonna stick with the ACT.

I think the SAT II Lit was pretty difficult.

Or maybe it's just me not being compatible with multiple choice for analyzing literature.

I was in a competitive IB school for 3 years and always did well in our literature classes and whatnot. I got a 670 on the SAT II, but I know i'm pretty good at analyzing literature. I'm just better at writing about it in my own words, I guess. Oh well, my score isn't horrible.

It really is a hard test.

750 Verbal
780 Writing
770 Literature

Nice work Lindsey!

You might find the www.prstats.com site interesting in that the average reported SAT II Literature score is 705, much lower than the Math IIC and the Writing scores of those who have posted there.

hey what percentile would 740 be in the SAT II literature? thanks..
hey i got these scores, but i have been speaking english for four years only, do you think colleges will take that into consideration?

750 Writing
740 Literature
730 Verbal

800 Spanish
800 Writing
740 Literature <--- wtf??

I'm pretty sure the percentiles for Literature are pretty good. The test is hard.

800 Verbal
800 Writing
660 Literature... (don't worry, I fully take responsibility for this score. I spaced out and didn't take it seriously and had 14 questions left when time ran out. Ah well.)

My 700 on Lit was like 82 %

I heard that it was really hard and I am glad that I didn't take it.

When I say I heard I dont mean b4 the test.... after, a friend told me.

wow, lindseylujh...our stats are exactly the same.

yeah, literature has one of the highest percentiles, as opposed to chinese or korean with listening where an 800 is 50 %tile or something, haha.
i think for literature, the most important thing is to get into the midset of ETS. analyze, but know at what point you're overanalyzing. it's silly because literature is pretty subjective, but there's always something that SHOULD make more sense than the others.

That's pretty cool, haosquared.

800 World history
800 Bio M
790 Math IIC
770 Writing
770 Chem
770 Us History

720 Literature

cries

750 Literature was 94th percentile for this testing
