<p>I encourage you all to take advantage of GAAP weekend. You'll get a two day preview of what campus life is like. Last year, 70% of students that attended a GAAP weekend decided to attend Georgetown. It's one of the most successful college preview weekends, and I invite all of you to attend. Also, if you would like to stay overnight, feel free to call to request an overnight stay. Or, if you know someone on campus, feel free to ask them if you could stay a night. You'll not only get the GAAP experience, but also the overnight college experience, and since it's a Friday night, I'm sure there's a lot to do...lol ;)</p>

<p>Friday</p>

<p>8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Check-in
Join us in the Healy building to check in and pick up information about all of the weekend's events.</p>

<p>8:50 a.m. – 11:05 p.m. Class Visits
Come sit in on a real Georgetown class.</p>

<p>9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Campus Tours
Tours will depart every 15 minutes.</p>

<p>11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Late Check-In
White Gravenor lobby, first floor, center doors.</p>

<p>11:15 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. Campus Spotlights
Learn about various opportunities at Georgetown beyond the classroom.</p>

<p>12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Deans' Luncheons for Students
Dine with deans, current students, and fellow accepted students.</p>

<p>1:15 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. Deans' Academic Information Sessions
Students and parents are invited to speak with the deans about academic life at Georgetown.</p>

<p>2:25 p.m. – 2:55 p.m. Icebreakers
Spend some time getting to know fellow accepted students and possibly your future classmates!</p>

Find out about life on the Hilltop as well as campus support programs and services available outside of the classroom.</p>

<p>4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. Faculty Lectures
Enjoy a talk given by one of our favorite professors and experience a class-style lecture firsthand.</p>

<p>5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Convocation
An official welcome to accepted students by representatives from the University administration, Jesuit community, faculty, and students.</p>

<p>Saturday</p>

<p>9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Historic Guided Walking Tour (Optional)
Learn the history of the Georgetown area, from Healy Gates to Wisconsin Avenue.</p>

<p>10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Academic Focus Groups
Hear about academic life on campus from current students.</p>

<p>11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Residence Hall Tours (45 Minutes/Tour)
Take an inside look at our freshman dorms.</p>

<p>11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Campus Activities Fair
See a sample of some of the clubs and extracurricular activities available to students on the Hilltop.</p>

<p>12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Brunch and Sendoff
Enjoy a farewell meal with current Georgetown students, meet other accepted students from your region, and discuss the Georgetown experience with other students.</p>
