Hello everyone, and forgive my question if it's already been answered before:

My son will be entering Fordham's Gabelli business school as a freshman this fall and he's already submitted his AP test scores to Fordham from last year in which he got a 5 in AP Calc AB and a 4 in AP Stats. He thinks he'll get a 4 or 5 in this year's AP Calc BC test and a 4 or 5 in the AP Econ Macro and Micro tests.

I know Fordham gives credit for AP scores, and core credit for scores of 4 or 5. But what do the Gabelli freshman students usually get assigned for fall classes if they received AP credit for the math and econ classes?

I can’t answer your question exactly, but I remember that my S filled out a questionnaire and the school used that information to plan his fall schedule. A lot of people have APs and they should take that information into account when preparing a schedule. Not to worry, Fordham has enough core classes to fill up everyone’s first semester schedule! And there is time during orientation to see the dean and make any adjustments to the schedule if needed. If you have concerns, your S can always look up the freshman dean at Gabelli and speak or email with him/her before orientation. Hope he enjoys Fordham.
