Gah what should I do (2nd semester schedule help)

Ok so my first hour is a semester class so it switches. They originally had me scheduled for modern European history for 2nd semester (which becomes an AP course if you do a crap load of extra work and take the test) but I already have 3 AP classes and am already swamped. So the 2nd or 3rd week of school I put in a request to change my first hour 2nd semester to Cultural Anthropology (honors) but my counselor claims she never got the request. Now all that's left is my other gym credit that I need to take but I physically can't do anything active first thing in the morning (stomach issues).

Gah I hate my counselor. What should I do? My only other option is to take the first hour as independent study and I am going to independent study Latin, but I really need another grade to get my GPA up and all that hour would appear as is study hall or something like that (on my transcript), not independent study Latin.

What should I do? GAH!

Here is what the rest of my schedule looks like (junior):

-Spanish 3.
-Chemistry.
-AP English.
-AP Calc AB.
-AP World History.

I also need help choosing courses for next year (they're due in about three weeks but mine are due earlier cause I'm getting surgery). But I'm gonna start that in another post a little later.

Bumpity bump bump.

If it's too much stress, just take the independent study. No need to kill yourself over high school.

Yeah, agree. Don't push yourself to take that extra AP if you know you shouldn't.

Are you unable to get into that honors anthro class?
The only problem I see with the independent study is that it shows up as "study hall" and depending on where you end up applying senior year, that could be a problem for the whole "course rigor," especially the most important semester (junior year 2nd semester). But if you have no other options...then I would go with the independent study. Maybe your counselor can explain that its not a study hall to colleges or something.

You should just take the Independent Study. I hear Modern European History isn't too hard (even if you opt for the AP) but as you mentioned, you're already swamped, so I suppose that wouldn't be best. You really don't have a choice, do you?

No I don't. Since they got rid of student assistants, everybody is already overbooked student wise. And since my counselor "lost" my request, the course I wanted to take is already over filled.

The counselors are so incompetent. They always underestimate the smart people. Mine doesn't even know my name, and that's probably the case with a lot of other people.

All she knows about me is we don't get along because she's screw me over one too many times. >.<

Do you know if we ever send any kids to Ivies?

My counselor hasn't had the opportunity yet. I'm relatively certain about what classes I'm going to take, which minimizes that chance.

^ Yeah. I was supposed to be taking Debate and Philosophy this year.

Instead she threw me into like a parenting class, and I was like ***?

She even wanted me not to take 3 APs. I was like WAH? She's goes "You weren't a TAG kid, you can't handle it."

I WASN'T A TAG KID BECAUSE I LIVED IN INKSTER!

Gah.

Yeah, it really sucks for the people who moved, as you did, or opted not to be a TAG kid so that they could stay with their friends.

Honestly, I was treated like a second class citizen when I came to P-Cep. They didn't let me test out of anything or let my past credits put me in more advanced courses. I went to a private school on a scholarship and I took many of the freshman courses in 6th/7th grade. Freshman year was the biggest waste.
