Since school's been out, we've only had like 3, 4, or 5 truly sunny days (the number is under debate). We've had a few partly cloudy days with sun breaks, but no hot, sunny days. Where the heck is summer??? I can't wait until college in CA. Anybody else in the PNW bothered by this?

Sorta...But this is how it always is. The sun doesn't come out until a week or two after the 4th of July, and then we get great weather until September or October. I actually kinda like it, it makes everything green :) (by the way the news said it's supposed to be up in the 90's later this week, at least in my part of the NW)

But hot sunny days are so...HOT.

I'd rather have your weather than 95 degree highs for 25 days in a row and 75 degree lows with 70% humidity.

I live in the Pacific Northwest....even at the last day of school; I still wore a jacket in the morning

soccerdude: Where are you from? Exactly?

I live in the PNW, except I live in southeastern WA in the middle of desert/scrubland so it's almost always sunny.

I wore a jacket all year long... but I'm a vampire so...

Sultan, a small town near Everett. You?

I live in Burien, a town near Seattle.

I can't wait for Seattle weather again. I'm in Madison, WI right now and I hate the midwest weather. 18 Days until I'm back home with the wonderful Seattle summer weather:):):)

I actually like it right now. But I don't like when it reaches more than 90 degrees for like a straight 3 weeks.

California is infact too much sunshine. Once you get inland out here it gets HOT. every single day from about week after july 4th all the way till labor day is usually between 90-100 degrees during the day and 60-70 degrees during the night. Its not fun hybernating in the house all day.

In Atlanta we have had a lot of rain, day after day after day... All these Atlantic Storms.

The only week that I was out of GA this summer I was in San Francisco where it was actually kind of cold.

soccerfanatic, I wish I could do a weather trade.
we get some cloudy days in Phoenix, and you get some days of 110 degree dry heat with nothing but blue skies.
how does that sound?

maybe it's because I'm used to the desert, but rainy cloudy days make me happy.

"summer rains you can never predict them"

"The only week that I was out of GA this summer I was in San Francisco where it was actually kind of cold."

The S.F. Bay Area has micro climates. The City (never call it "Frisco") can be breezy and cool in the summer as the fog rolls in and out, but travel a few miles to the east bay, north bay or south bay and it can get quite warm.

yeah!! NEVER call it frisco, i agree. there's usually a 10-20 degree difference between the bay and inland during the really warm summer months, especially july and august .

its always funny when people assume that since i live in california, i must have a tan from all the sunshine. but really, we see fog and overcast more than anything during the year!! don't ask us what color the sky is, because we'll say it's grey.

soccerfanatic, where are you going for college here? (sorry if it was already asked)

Don't hate man. Seattle and Portland are in the top 5 for most livable cities in the United States. The weather isn't that bad. Sure from the end of September to April is cloudy.......and rainy.....but it's all good. I'd rather have a little rain than live in a dust bowl.

why was yesterday so hot?

I'm looking at Pomona (one of the claremont colleges) but I'm also going to apply to Stanford and Berkeley.
