GAHHHH Asian Parents Suck

A crystal elephant? I have a crystal bird in my room, but that's because I won it as a door prize back in grade school.

What movie? That's the important part.

HAHAHA yeah it's possible that my parents were just in a bad mood...lets hope.Yeeshh, everytime I look at the crystal elephant though, it seems to taunt me like it's yelling "I'm more loved than you!!!":(

It probably is more loved.

How irrelevant! Your parents are the ones who worked their whole lives to make the money. They were the ones who were going to pay for the movie ticket, so I guess they can do as they wish. It isn't your money; go work at McDonalds if you are so upset about it. As far as I am concerned, if your parents want to purchase a glass elephant for 3000, let them. How immature to start a thread on CC about a foolish movie.

You didn't go to the movies. BOO HOO! Lifes tough, get used.

Get a job. -_-'

But I completely understand the unfairness of Asian parents. I'm not allowed out past 10 on most occassions. I get put under house arrest a month before SATs & such so I can study. I buy everything myself. Etc.

lol funny.....why did someone say the jewish thing was offensinve while there is so much stereotyping of asians on CC? Weird, but funny, who has time to call their friend up if their randma is having a heart attack lol sorry i dont kno if i am laughing so hard because it is funny or beace it is late...lol

It's because us Asians stereotype ourselves.

are you Asian?^^^^^

Ah, the curse of the Asian parents. Lets all share in the grief.
I resort to erm, well, I don't like to call it stealing (a lifetime of sitting in Catholic mass does that to you), but borrowing-without-telling-until-much-later from my parents.

I don't think they ever notice, though, since they're usually glued to the T.V., watching old reruns of those Filipino soap operas when they're not yelling at me for not doing better in math (gasp! yes, I am an asian who sucks at math).

Whoops, I just stereotyped myself. Me.duh has a point.

AND MAN. you guys pay 6-13 bucks for movies?! I'm not looking foward to going back to the states and going to the movie theater. I pay 3 bucks here, but then again, we get the movies about a month after they're released. Man oh man.

wow, my first thought was, YOUR MOVIES ARE SO CHEAP! it's $8 for matinee and a lot more for the night ones. sigh then again, it's a REALLY nice theater.

eh, i stereotype myself. :) me.duh's right.

Ahem...It costs 14 dollars to watch a movie here...

I am in Los Angeles and it costs $10.00

Yeah... our movie theater had abestos in it as recently as last summer... just got renovated this year, but then again, I don't think all of it is entirely out. So maybe that's why the movies were so cheap...

okay wow 14 dollars is simply ridiculous

Where does it cost $14.00?

after applying the exchange rate, the most expensive theatre costs 3.75 dollars here. (25 egyptian pounds)

a normal theater here is between 5 and 6 dollars....

my part of los angeles its around $12 (give or take $2 depending on place) at most places after 4 pm

just get a frickin job

It would appear so, wouldn't it?
I'm glad that I'm getting back up for that statement. =)

For us, it's 5.50-7.50, depending on when the movie is.
