Anyone have experience good or bad with Gainesville Place apartments?

I lived there my freshman year. The experience is really contingent upon a variety of things. 1. Location-if you don’t have transportation it may be a hassle being that the bus route there doesn’t run as often as others and stops early on the weekend. Other than that its not an issue.
2. Roommates- if you are doing random roommate matching hope for the best prepare for the worst. You’ll find that many apartment complexes don’t put much thought into that other than the gender. I was lucky enough to get great roommates and we’ve stayed together for three years now.
3. Price-if possible wait until about summer time/ early fall to sign a lease. Generally they say prices will increase but they tend to decrease significantly because they are wanting to fill vacancies. I had a friend who signed very early and paid $560 a month and her roommates were all paying $400 something. Sometimes they offer visa gift cards, scooters, ect. It all depends on what is most important to you.
4. The rooms are decent size, own bathroom, the bedroom furniture is pretty decent for college. The living room may be a little bland if you care about that type of stuff posters, decorations, ect will help.

My biggest advice is to CAREFULLY read your lease because you WILL NOT be able to get out of it once signed. Ask to see an actual apartment if possible because all models are glamorous no matter where you go. Be assertive and upfront. If you have any problems report it immediately and understand the terms of your lease because it’s a legally binding document and if they don’t abide by it you can get out of your lease.

Hope that helps!

^And don’t forget that if you are accepted, all students can have an attorney review their lease for free if they make an appointment.
