gallatin? goucher? bryn mawr?

I recently posted a thread listing my reaches, matches, and (too-short list of) safeties. There are a few schools that have come up, on CC and otherwise, that look interesting to me. I'd like some first-hand information about academics, social scene, and campus vibe.

Although the thought is nice, I'm really not looking for transfer statistics or financial aid horror stories. I just want to know what it's like, on an experiential level, to be a student at the following institutions. More specific questions below.

Gallatin: How do the students differ from CAS kids? Are creative writing classes high-quality but not excessively trendy (I write professionally and frankly I'm fed up with "tourists")? Is there a community vibe?

Goucher: How do you deal with all those f-cking distribution requirements?! What are the students like? What does studying abroad look like/consist of now that it is a requirement?

Bryn Mawr: Are students from Swarthmore and Haverford rude to Bryn Mawr women (I've heard this A LOT)? From a feminist perspective, would you recommend a single-sex environment? How easy is it to arrange a study-abroad?

Thanks so much.
