Gallatin Hopefuls :)

<p>So yesterday I was looking over Common App and started lamenting my dispassionate short-answer response to why I wanted to attend Stern early decision. I clicked a few links, and in about ten minutes I was even more sure about Gallatin than I ever was about Stern.</p>

<p>I thought we could start this thread for those of us who are applying to the unorthodox school and talk about what we anticipate to study, why we're not applying to Brown instead (just kidding), concerns, etc.</p>

<p>For me, I get really intense into learning what I'm interested in. I couldn't imagine myself taking half of my classes as required business courses that I may feel lukewarm about, and I didn't want to take a double major and a minor just so I could take some courses I was reallllly interested in. </p>

<p>But anyway, I plan to combine my globalization, marketing, and foreign language interests to create a Gallatin major.</p>

<p>I want to do some sort of “musical theatre studies”-type major and combine dramatic literature, dance, music, and journalism, because I want to be a writer about musical theatre one day.</p>

<p>Gallatin’s courses all sound fascinating and I really like having the choice to choose all of my own classes without a curriculum, so I’m really hoping I get in. Plus there’s nowhere I’d rather be than NYC :).</p>
