Gallatin Scholars

Is anyone here involved in the Gallatin Scholars program? The information in the brochure is frighteningly vague (how many performances/lectures must you attend?). I already know that I want to take part in Goddard's Writing New York program and have a part-time job; throughout high school I had the tendency to load myself down with too many activities, and I don't want the same thing to happen in college. From the little I know, I don't think that the Scholars program is something I want to do, but I would really appreciate any information that would help me make a good, informed decision.

bump (anyone?)

Everything about Gallatin is vague. I want to take "the thingliness of things" next year.

I can't be of much help about the Scholars thing. Maybe you should call them?

I'm interested in Goddard, as well : )

hi i got into gallatin but am wondering what scholars is...did you have really high SATs/GPA or get a a hugh scholarship from it?

I think that 5% of applicants are invited into the Scholars program. All the info I got was really vague, but the program entails going to lectures, doing team building exercises w/ other scholars, 30 hrs of community service every year, and 2 international trips. I think that most scholars get at least a small scholarship and have high SAT scores/GPAs. Hope that helps; that's pretty much all I know!

hi sorry im not trying to sound nosy, i just got a really lousy fin aid package and am trying to see of any and all ways to get more money, even in later years, what were your gpa/sats?

That's ok I understand...
4.0 uw/1510 old SAT; I got $15,000 a year

go getter, again, sorry to be nosy…
i had a 4.0 uw and a 1530 and did not get any financial aid… do you think i should ask gallatin/nyu about it?
i also got this offer and i’m wondering what it is.
