Hey guys. Sorry if this belongs in the transfer forum, but I figured since I am only asking about one school (and a specific program within it) this place would be best.

Anyway, I'm currently a freshman looking to transfer to Gallatin some time soon. I'd like to transfer as early as spring of my sophomore year, maybe even junior year since my HS stats were a bit average (2.5 UW, 3.7 W). I wanted to know what the school was looking for in transfer applicants besides a high GPA (which isn't really a problem for me anymore save for HS). I attended a tour today, which I hope lands me some points but probably won't, and it tailored to freshman CAS applicants since the admissions counselor was new and my tour guide was in CAS. Whenever I asked a question about gallatin or transferring they told me to call or visit the website, which was not really worth the train ride in winter.

I also called the admissions office and was told to just follow the requirements of my current school and hope that something sticks when and if I do transfer. I was also told, much to my surprise, that financial aid for transfer students is not that limited. Granted, NYU does not give great packages in the first place. How much would I expect to receive with a very low EFC, considering that I won't be dorming (saving upwards of $14k a year)?

So any advice?
