Galveston/OCSE->MMRM?

Howdy,

I’m an incoming freshman to A&M, attending the Galveston campus for the Offshore and Coastal Systems Engineering. Now I know it isn’t something I need to worry about much any time soon, but is the Masters of Marine Resource Management a way an engineer in this field would get a foot into management, or would a standard MBA be preferable (say from May’s)? Maybe MMRM is more of an Engineering Management, as it is more technical?

And also, Galveston doesn’t seem to have as standardized names for degrees, so can anyone tell me what isn’t exactly the same between Ocean Engineering (like on the main campus) and Offshore and Coastal? From everything I’ve read they seem to identical except one has harder upperclassmen classes.
