Game: 5 Things You Want to Accomplish In the Next Five Years (or more)

<li>Get into a good college that i’ll be happy at</li>

<li>Improve my Russian to become fluent again</li>

<li>Still be with my current boyfriend</li>
<li>Get into shape (lol… I like how I say that while I’m eating a cookie)</li>
<li>Study abroad</li>
<li>Not die or become terminally ill.</li>

<p>Wow, 5 years I’ll be 21. Never really thought about that… weird.</p>

<li>Get my license… Hopefully in the next few weeks, It’s getting downright pathetic, I’ve had my permit for almost 14 months now. I suck.</li>
<li>Go to college… probably SMCM.</li>
<li>Get paid at my job.</li>
<li>Get good grades in college.</li>
<li>Graduate and go/ get in to a good law/graduate school.</li>
<li>Become fluent in Spanish. Work on Arabic/French/Farsi/Yiddish. (od, I know)</li>

<p>Some of these answers were very pleasantly surprising, though some of the answers were also typical “get into ____ college, and learn to have a little fun.”</p>

<p>Well, I think that’s the point of this thread. Obviously every poster on CC wants to get into some college or another, but I think a few so-called trivial goals would also brighten up your life and add some perspective. You know, life can’t always be about the Big Accomplishments. The small things can make a lot of happiness too.
So again, posters try and restrain from anything to do with college or graduate school. </p>

<p>LOL @ the poster who said “flip off my freshman German teacher” That’s quite a goal. I have at least several peers or teachers I would like to do the same to…</p>

<p>I’ve decided to add a few more:</p>

<p>6) Some day work on a movie set as an extra or an assistant
7) Seen at least half the movies on IMDB Top 250 list (as you can see I’m a movie geek)
8) live in a foreign country
9) Own a cat!</p>

  1. usabo finals
  2. RSI
  3. intel semis at least
  4. MIT
  5. Harvard med school + residency + fellowship + job as oncologist</p>

-Learn Chinese/Japanese and go to one of those countries
-Get into Cornell/Northwestern/JHU
-Get into med school
-Learn to ski/snowboard</p>

4) Get into Pharmacy or Medical School depending on which I pick.

7) Become amazing at blackjack. (This could also be a backup plan if #2 doesn’t work out. :))
