You can click them and the percentage shown is the chance they will give you the answer to the question you are on. Luckily, they only give 1) the correct or 2) “I don’t know”

For a while I thought they could give wrong answers and I just thought I was really, really lucky. :D

@madogmgd
It’s all part of an evil plan. buahhaah.

Also, my high score involved 2 long math-runs, both of which had the same final question. :p

(I’ve had 3 math final questions constantly, I don’t even know the questions, just the answers now)

Edit: Oh, and @GameOfNerds
It’s really a great site. I am thoroughly impressed that you did it by yourself. I can’t imagine how much time it takes you to go through all the question submissions by yourself!

I also thought the topic selection method was intuitive. You’re never forced to do a particular topic if you don’t want to, but it also forces you to vary your choices. Otherwise I’d just do internet and astronomy all day long ;)

Hahaha joshmay, I did the same thing but with A Song of Ice and Fire questions for fantasy literature. I think Dolorous Edd is right though because I havent gotten any of my questions yet >_< Luckily there are already a decent amount of ASoIaF questions in Fantasy Literature already though

I’ve now figured out that this is an error with my host that causes mail calls to be repeated. Which is why the apology mail has now been sent… 20 times.

I’ve suspended all emailing until they have it fixed. Can’t apologize enough for this.

I have a 59% in fantasy literature right now, which isnt that impressive but it seems to be higher than most people for that specific category. I haven’t read all that much popular fantasy besides Harry Potter, LoTR, and ASoIaF, but I know a lot of general info about popular series because I’ve looked into a lot of them for future reading. The problem is that I don’t really have any sure fire go-to categories with my highest being chemistry at only 75%.

I feel a lot of sympathy for you right now, and I accept your apology.
You haven’t chased me away from the game.
You definitely should switch to a new host, ASAP.

EDIT: I have 70 coins, not 65. That might be because I won some, though.

I think I’ve discovered something on Game Of Nerd’s recent email to users regarding suspension of all email activity, named “GameOfNerds.com suspends ALL emailing activities”.

It was sent on 7/24; yesterday at the time of this post.

If you look at the “to” column, it displays what I presume to be several hundred (maybe all) user emails. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this a leak of privacy? Someone could use a password cracking utility (not promoting it) to gain these given that:

a) users reuse passwords
b) users use weak passwords
c) computing power is immense and exponential (think brute-force)
d) bad, knowledgeable users can design programs for nefarious uses.

If anyone’s heard anything about the exploits of a hacker group named “Lulz Security”, they’ve done something like this intentionally and caused some ruckus.

If I’m not seeing something, someone please enlighten me. If anyone else can confirm this, please do.

As a final thought, I advise all members of GameOfNerds.com on CC and elsewhere to change the passwords to their e-mail account(s) immediately. This has the potential to be scary.
