Game Programming/ Development

Hello guys I wanted to know what are the top universities which offers the courses in Game Programming...

Pls name a few :)

I’m not sure if any of the top universities offer a major in game programming per se but you should check. Personally, I feel a major in computer science/programming or something related followed by a specialised graduate program would be a better path to a career in game programming and development. There might be some universities that are dedicated to these fields and you might be well served to check it out. Best of luck!

I don’t think USC offers a major in game programming but it offers “Interactive Entertainment” major (look it up) and it is basically “game programming” major and minors in Video Game Programming,3D design,Animation and Digital Arts, etc. And it is very well reputed in that field.

USC offers two top-ranked degree programs in interactive media/game development.

One through the prestigious School of Cinematic Arts:

And the other through the stellar Viterbi School of Engineering:

Here’s the Princeton Review list of top ranked game design programs. Note that MIT is also on the list:

Sorry but I forgot to mention that I’m looking for uni’s which have spring intake…

Hey I wish to get the PR of us but i suppose it is very difficult to get it … Moreover i think it would be almost impossible to get PR after 4 years…

What do you guys think about this?

Please reply :)

I don’t know about spring takers but University of Pennsylvania has a Digital Media Design major. You should check it out :)

My name’s misleading though. I am not planning to attend Penn.

Is it a good idea to join unis like digipen or full sail?

They are amongst the top 10 for game development but i’m not sure if its a good idea…

Help me Maybe?
