game recommendations?

It’s just not the same experience if you don’t play it the way it was originally meant to be played.

My fiance has the windwaker game for gamecube and said he’d lend it to me with a controller, so I will try that. He also had paper mario and a bunch of games I’ve never heard of.

I looked up the Zack and Wiki game and that one looks really promising and is something I would have completely overlooked, it looks ridiculous. XD Okami looks good at first glance as well. I will add those two to my list! Hopefully it won’t take me too long to get used to the wii controls.

I’m far from a gamer and am a complete game-lightweight. I like Cooking Mama. But she always gets mad at me. :(

I used to be friends with people who considered themselves serious gamers and they made fun of me for my gaming preferences, so I’ve always considered myself a game-lightweight as well. Cooking Mama looks fun. XD

What’s funny is the game we used to play over and over and over again in high school was katamari damacy for ps2. I hope they make one of those for wii, they could really make use of the weird controls! You play this tiny little character and the objective is to roll this ball around picking up stuff, starting with things like paper clips and moving on until you roll up the whole world, with completely absurd music and animation.

If you like Katamari give the Monkey Ball series a try. Two Super Monkey Ball games exist for the Cube (the 2nd one is extremely difficult) and there’s one for the Wii I haven’t played. Some people spend all day on the fish pond in Zelda, both OoT and Twilight Princess have fishing (TP, with the Wii controls, does it much better IMO).

Oh yeah, and Mario Kart games are a BLAST if you have somebody to play with you.

Here I go again: Pikmin. Give the Wii version a try, it’s a Wii-ized version of the GC game.

I actually wanted a gamecube when they came out just so I could play pikmin, but never got to. I will have to look into that.

I suspect my fiance got me mario kart, the new super mario bros, and mario party 8 for my birthday. But I already pretty much beat super mario bros in a few sittings when he borrowed his friend’s wii for a couple days, so that was why I wanted some single player suggestions.
