Does anyone know if UNC offers a class on game theory? My D is interested and could not find one. Also, when is drop/add??????

Drop/add starts August 4.

There's one economics based game theory class, and one decision science class in the philosophy department.

i actually learned a little about game theory in my econ 101 class..probably not enough to satiate your daughter, but i bet the more in-depth econ class would be really interesting.

Yeah it seems very interesting. She was telling me about it last night. MIT has an online class I may take (not for credit) myself. She looked in the Econ section but not philosphy. Thanks.

Altmom-- I thought your daughter was a sophomore? If so, then drop/add doesn't really apply to her- you can change your schedule any time :)

Well slap me silly. She said she has been working on it..... what is drop add for?

to add classes that you wanted or drop classes that you do not want anymore.
Reasons: Times, etc

Drop/add is for mainly freshmen

Yeah, Drop/Add is just for freshmen... Rising sophomores can fix their schedules anytime! Which is really nice, haha. : )

Atlmom, There is a freshman honors seminar called combinatorics that I believe covers gaming theory, stock market probabilities, etc.

Thanks unfortunately she is a soph.
