Yeah, brawl is more of a combative style, and not really such like melee.

And brawl got rid of Dr. Mario!

=( =(.

Assassin's Creed kicks ass as well.

Out of curiosity, does anyone play WoW? Seriously it's like the most addicting game, I frequently visited my friends' house just to play and ended up downloading the free trial version just to play, and I could be playing like 7 hours straight to feel like only, literally I played no more than 20 minutes (I would say 2 seconds, but that's too unrealistic. Really it felt like 20 minutes).

=/. Blizzard...

I heard you have to pay to play that game?
I'm too cheap to do that. It looks interesting, though.

Age of Empire II
Age of Mythology
BF 1942
Starcraft
Rollercoaster Tycoon

All old but good stuff.

oops, for some reason i posted twice. Lol

I assume you mean paying monthly, because a lot of other games are pay as well.

Yes- you do pay monthly + the actual game. I'm pretty poor as well, and I don't own the game, but if you play the game (and actually know how to play it pretty well, and get into it)...it's worth it. It's VERY addicting.

Yeah, I liked Melee. Brawl is such a slow game compared to it and if it weren't for the sake of progress, I'd stick to Melee, due to the fact that you can actually COMBO in that game (where did SHFFL go?).

All I do is play Brawl these days, even though I have Halo 3 and Gears of War. Eh...

I'm not bringing any consoles except for my DS to college.

My friends and I don't actually play a lot of video games. We play Halo or Super Smash Bros. Melee every once in a while, but it's barely once a year since we entered high school.

We play card games all the time though. Palace, ERS, blackjack, spit, spoons, bs, you name it, we play it. Most of us have even started carrying around decks of cards. It's just a way to pass the time when we don't have anything else to do but still want to hang out.

Used to play WoW. I got into an insanely good guild (5th in the world to kill Kil'Jaeden; if you have any idea what that means, you know they're good), but got kicked out for flubbing a Gruul's run (this is back when Gruul's was insanely hard, at the beginning of TBC). Ever since then it was easy to quit. I knew I had reached my peak and WoW sucks when you're not on top. My close irl friend who I just graduated with (who got me into the guild) is still in it. Look it up: Exodus on Kel'Thuzad.

Other than that, I play TF2 now (gee it sure is pretty PYRO in here), SC (to get ready for SC2), WC3 (TFT), and I'm looking forward to Spore.

Also: 8125 VR on Mario Kart Wii.

Huge nerd reporting in.

Age of Empires (II Conquerors and III), Civilization (yeah, I know it's kind of stupid, but it's also fun), and games like that. I'm good at Guitar Hero, but I don't have any video game consoles.

I suck at Super Mario Bros., but I love Brawl.

I'm considering buying a new game system with my damned limited budget.

Some considerations:
-Ps3
-Wii
-360
-PSP

Those that currently own them, or know a lot about them, which would you recommend?

I've tried a couple games on each console, and so forth, but it doesn't serve as an adequate basis on my decisions.

I love PSP for its portability and surprisingly good game quality.

If you've got a limited budget, stick to the PS2. It's got an enormous library, still has the occasional game trickling out, and there's no way you've played everything worth playing on it yet (not to mention games are dirt cheap).

If I'm not mistaken, I have stated in the OP:

Yeah, I saved up quite for a PS2, and the GameCube I bought for my friend, a used one, REAL-Cheap for like $30.

And it's not totally about budget factors as well, I mean, if it's more worth it or has better quality in different areas than I wouldn't mind paying a bit more because in the long run it's more of a sound decision. Not too expensive..

Exactly, if you're on a limited budget, then picking up all of the quality games that have slipped into the bargain bin the past few months is one of the best deals out there. Play those games for another year, and by the time you shell out for a 360 it'll have come down in price.

I'm just a casual gamer. Guitar Hero ftw! Still deciding on whether I should get Guitar Hero: Aerosmith in a bit or if I should just save up for Guitar Hero IV. I'm glad they're keeping it around for the good ol' PS2.

I'm open to pretty much any other type of games, but I just don't have many of my own. I need to expand my collection. Looking forward to getting a Wii or DS soon.

@RacinReaver:

My bad. Somehow I read that you said "Buy a PS2".

I'll consider PS2 games, as I can get them really cheap from my friends/stores and get some deals. Perhaps...

I already own like 10 or so PS2 games, and I'm having my share of GH3 right now...xD.

So I'm considering something new, but oh well; it may not be entirely be the best decision. =/
