gap jeans.

After looking through the numerous clothes threads in the college life section (here), ive decided that there are a lot of preps/well-dressed guys who come here, therefore ive also decided to post another clothes thread here (this is a little more specific however).

For those of you that go to the gap, which type of jeans do you think compliment a "preppy" style best?

I am a pretty skinny guy, and am about 5' 10", if that is relevant for styling.

thanks.

Hey. I'm 5'10 and skinny as well. Don't buy something because it's preppy; buy it because you like it and it fits well. That said, what kind of wash are you looking for? If you're just building your wardrobe, you'll need a light, a medium, and a really dressy dark wash. Luckily, most jeans at the GAP are on sale right now. You can't go wrong with the GAP since they fit well and don't have much fraying/distressing/hole-ish vintage crap lol.

Here are some links:

1) They're listed at $34.99 but select stores actually have them for $19.99 and they're great: http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=7192&pid=308561

2) http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=7192&pid=408884

And to answer your original question, all GAP jeans except for the loose fitting ones will compliment a preppy style.

Gap jeans are great. They fit pretty well, come in just about any color/style you could want, aren't terribly expensive, look good with preppy stuff, and most importantly for me, come in 32 x 28, which is really rare in the blue jeans world (you have better luck with khakis, especially because they can get hemmed at the tailor).

I wear my Gap jeans with anything--RL, A&F, AE, a football jersey, no top at all...they go well with anything and also any belt.

Check out Old Navy as well, pretty much the same jeans. They are owned by GAP too.
