gap year and fin aid

I am thinking of taking a gap year.
I've been accepted to several colleges. I received good packages in some, but some weren't as understanding of my financial situation.
If I take a gap year for personal reasons, will they evaluate my financial aid again for next year or will I get what I got this year?

If those are need-based scholarships, the colleges would reevaluate your financial need just as they'll do every year when you are in college.

Have you selected a college you want to attend and do they allow a deferral?

Without a written request for a deferral that is granted by one particular school (you can't agree to attend more than one school), you will have to reapply again -- and you might not be so lucky the second time applying. You might find yourself worrying about the lack of acceptances rather than lack of funds.

You were accepted to good schools with excellent aid -- pick your best choice and move on.
