<p>Each school has a threshold, a number of college credits that determine that you are a transfer. Having a few college credits will not mean you have to apply as a transfer, having a whole year’s worth on the other hand does. YMMV so research the specific schools you are interested in. Possibly take to the admissions office about your plans? It wouldn’t hurt!</p>
