Gap year: Regarding Academics

Most people take gap year after rejection from their #1 school because of reasons besides academics, such as activities or ECs and stuff.

but what if you take a year off because your test scores/grades are not good enough?

what can u do during that gap year to improve (half a year actually, after senior year ends…u have half a year before the ED apply date)

bump please!

what should i do??

I guess I am a bit confused on when you are referring to. Are you in your gap year now or are you anticipating a gap year? Some top boarding schools offer a PG year to students and you can do some prep and then apply to colleges again. You will need to look at applying by mid Jan for the next year or contact them in person NOW.

i am senior year now. after graduation of senior year, i will have the time period

june - november.

what do i do then?
also, do u suggest i take night community courses right now? (as a senior)

oh, and, i KNOW i will be rejected by wharton right NOW.

got ur message hazmat

is Phillips Exeter like, a prestigoius college-prep school?
do a lot of gap year kids go there?
