Gap Year UN?

If I wanted to take a gap year between HS and college, how would I go about making that productive? I would like to travel and I intend to be a lawyer for the UN. What kinds of programs could I do?

Oh! Oh! Why not try an internship abroad? or volunteer? that’s pretty interesting right?

omg what the UN doesn’t need is more lawyers ;-0

@ready100 is absolutely right. There are lots and lots of gap year programs that will do it all for you (for a fee), and there are lots and lots of ways that you can do it independently.

@collegemom3717 really? Thanks for telling me :frowning: I suppose I’ll have to adjust my plans!
@ready100 thanks for the suggestions! I’ll see what I can dig up!

Well yeah, the UN does have a lot of lawyers to count do you have any other interest besides that? You may want to consider that choice on choosing what you intend to do on your gap year. And yes I would commend @ready100 and his suggestions. Doing internship in a good company abroad would be great for you since you wanted to travel. Volunteering is great as well. DS has been exposing herself in volunteering programs under Diversity abroad if you’re truly interested they might be helpful.

No worries I hope either one works for you  Good luck

Why thank you @Parently73 wow! How long has DS been volunteering?

@Parently73 well, I’m majoring in political science with a focus on international relations, so I could do anything within the UN, really. I have loads of interests within it  thank you for your suggestions!

I think she started last summer and some time during breaks @ready100

How about studying overseas? does he show interest in it? would you let him? @Parently73
