Hello everyone.
It has always been a dream of mine to attend college in America. I am from a South Asian country and have just finished high school(which was actually home school).
I have decided to take a gap year and apply to colleges this fall. I had previously intended to apply last year but due to certain circumstances, I was unable to. I also performed rather poorly on my SAT. I have always been a focused student but SAT made me incredibly anxious and as a result, my scores were dismal and I believe they'd have kept me out of any college that I had even the slightest of chance of being admitted to.
I am aware that admission for International students applying for financial aid is extremely competitive and chances are right next to zero and I will be very comfortable attending college in my own country but I wish to give myself the small little chance that every applicant stands in a pool of thousands.
I really need advice on how I can control my anxiety about the SAT and the whole application process in general. I am on a gap year but I am still quite busy with other activities I am committed to and would also appreciate any help on time management and SAT preparation. I am appearing for the tests in October and November(there were no seats available for June).
Thank you for taking the time out to read this. I will appreciate any help.
