So I am totally lost in this whole college admissions thing. The school I am dying to go is a big reach for me and I honestly don't really want to go anywhere else. I know there's community college but my parents are looking to move in the next year (not sure where) so there's really no point of me staying in this state. Instead of spending thousand's of my parents' money and going to a school I really don't have much interest in just to transfer as soon as I can to the school I really want to go to, I'm considering maybe doing a gap year.
Can anyone please give me more info on this? What are some things I can do?
I'm big into traveling, cultures, and languages so I was thinking maybe I could go abroad for a year? I don't want to make it seem as a vacation though when I reapply to this school in a year.
I'm also into community work so maybe going to a different country and doing humanitarian work there? If anyone has more info on this, please let me know!
Thanks!

Sorry, I’m a CC newbie. What’s that? haha

Oh, TheYankInLondon is taking a gap year and going to Harvard in the Class of 2015 after graduating last year, so he is like the most helpful person. You may want to PM him

Okay, thank you so much! I will.
