GaTech Scholarships

Hello,
I'm a junior in NC, GaTech is incredibly expensive due to its out of state tuition. How difficult is it to earn one of the few significant scholarships that Tech offers? I have a 3.95 UW GPA, a 4.9 Weighted GPA and a 2190 SAT (710 R 740 M 740 W.) Do I have a chance at receiving a significant scholarship? (I know I didn't include lots of info, but I am in the IB Diploma program if that helps.

You might also want to ask this in the Georgia Tech forum, there may be people there who have specific knowledge.

Approximately the top 7% of GT freshman get merit-based awards. 1450 SAT is just barely in the top 25% of the enrolled students, so a significant merit award is unlikely. Also, Georgia residents are favored for the top awards.

Your stats are excellent and will get you substantial merit awards at many schools, but merit awards at GT are very hard to come by, especially from out of state.
