<p>I am also a Gates Millennium Scholar! I didn’t think I’d get a chance to become a scholar for this scholarship. My stats are much lower than all the other finalists. I have a 3.42 UW gpa, 3.69 weighted gpa. I started a dance group in 3rd grade, is the VP for ASRO, member of National Honor Society/Student Government/School Newspaper/Asian Culture Club, Student Ambassador for my school, etc… I have worked for McDonald’s, Kmart, intern for 3M, and now I am currently working at Old Navy. I have about 60 volunteer hours (very little, compare to others). God gave me the strength, determination, and energy to continue on exploring and overcoming the obstacles in my life. I am so very thankful for everything I have now, and I am excited to experience what’s coming next. I would like to congratulate those who already heard from the Gates and I will be praying for all the other finalists! Don’t lose hope yet guys! I am proud of all of us. We worked hard and will be rewarded! ;)</p>

<p>I have a question… Does anyone kno if the Gates pays for Graduate Nursing programs.?</p>
<p>I received my package at 12, i stayed home from school to wait for the mail, was up at 6 waiting. i ran outside, i tripped on a rock and scrapped my face, my tears were mixed with the blood that was going down my cheekbone while i was opening my package. ha jk no tears but the face is true…</p>

<p>This week has been the best week ever, i got a kiss from the girl that Ive liked in like for ever…, and then i went to the movies with her and now the gates stuff comes in, how bad ass is that…yay.</p>

<p>I’m so nervous! I’m in southern california, AA, and on top of that we just moved this weekend. My mail is no longer going to my old house, but my mom hasn’t transfered my address yet. I’m afraid whatever they send me may get misplaced or something… but congratulations to all the scholars! That’s truly a blessing, and I am very happy for you guys :)</p>
