<p>I wish I could get a notification now 
I’m actually so sad. This is absolutely devastating and it’s so sad that I check my email every second, literally. This scholarship can change my life, well anyone’s really. I’m happy for those who received the finalists notification but it makes me sad too because I worked so so so hard. I’m trying to have hope but it’s too difficult.
I want to call them but I’m afraid. I don’t know what to do. Omg :(</p>

<p>@ravenluvsjesus I can only hope because it just says that “a letter has been sent out regarding your nomination status stay on the line to wee if you want your letter resent”…im trying my best to be optimistic but it doesn’t look good… I didn’t even get an email</p>

I, was like you, worried like s<strong>t for the last 3 days…and now I found out that I did not become finalist, feeling very sad…but it is better than to feel like s</strong>t for a couple more days and feel super sad later on…might as well find out the truth now! I would like to create a group on Facebook where finalists can join and get to know each other more:) and NOT try to find out each others’ profile or to try to “find out the competition”, but more to recognize ourselves:) not all of us will be able to receive the scholarship but it’s so amazing that we have made it this far! Anyone who has read this, give yourself a pat on the back! And if by some chance, anyone got rejected, IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!! to be honest, after reading about all the amazing people who applied for this, I didn’t think I was gonna get it. And again, congratulations to all!

<p>I called the Gates Millennium phone line, and it said a letter has been sent to you regarding your nomination. I believe that means that I was not awarded the scholarship because that’s all that was said. I have officially lost hope. Thanks everyone for their support and I am so proud of everyone that got to the finalist spot! Good luck!</p>

There is a group on Facebook and it was created by a past Gates Scholar. He helped give feedback on ppls essays and like gives us info every step of the way; join it.</p>
