@vivinicole Last year, a well-meaning person posted a possible “hack” to find out your status. Unfortunately, this technique worked for some but not for all, creating enormous confusion and unnecessary anxiety. Just wait until you get your letter or email.
@vivinicole Even if it does work, I wouldn’t want to find out. Now like that, not right now. I’m not prepared for the potential disappointment.
Also, it’s so funny that every time I get alerted that someone posted in this thread, my heart starts speeding up and I get really nervous. I guess I’m just really nervous just in case that new comment is someone saying the results are out.

@northernAZ yeah i agree. i just tried it and idk aha i think im just going to wait for an actual email or something…also does everyone’s package say processing? Because I did get a email that notified me that I submitted my application but it still says processing…
First time user here. My son applied for this and I’m super anxious about it. I’m mainly looking to commiserate during this ordeal. Btw, I think everyone’s page will say processing until they update statuses as finalist/non-finalist.

@Mariana2016 The answer is the same: No. They will not consider that an eligible degree.
@herpinderpin Two comments: 1) The GMS Program is aware of this “hack”; and (2) the hack isn’t really a hack but a link to the finalist page. It won’t work until they’ve uploaded the finalist letters, which they don’t do until very near the deadline. As a GMS Scholar from last year, just take a breath and wait a bit longer.
In theory all finalists should be able to log in… eventually. The problem is that it won’t work for anyone until they update their role in the process. From the looks of prior threads the “sneak peak” started to work approximately one day before official emails went out. Believe me, when it works someone will let us know on here!

@barbequeribs Wait are you serious??? CONGRATULATIONS!!! Omg they did it so early!! So if you log in to your application it doesn’t say processing? And can you log in to the finalist link? If that’s the case I don’t think i got it. I have no emails at all and I can’t log into the finalist link. My application still says processing but I don’t think the chances are good. Oh well, haha. But again, I’m so happy for you!! The chances of getting it were less than 4%, you beat the odds, and now your chances are literally 50%. You’re in an amazing position! I hope you get it in April! 
@barbequeribs Congratzi! I still havent gotten any email. I logged in and I saw that my app is still processing. SIgh, it was nice to try anyway.
I did! I also know three other people in my area that are GMS finalists. My application also says it’s still processing… I still can’t access it. I ALSO can’t access that finalist link from the previous comment so don’t you all worry. Thank you both so much!
@barbequeribs What race are you and the others in your area? Also what state are you from?
I’m trying to see if certain races and areas are notified first. Congrats!!!
@Chopinspiano The other finalists and I are all Asian, specifically Filipino, from the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands. Thank you too!

Since he or she is Asian … We shouldn’t fret that much. Hopefully the other races find out soon.
