To my fellow Native Americans, Congratulations!.. and all as well. Did Native student letters come from the American Indian Graduate Center or from another organizations. What was the city and postmark date? Still waiting for mine and keeping toes, fingers and eyes crossed!

Officially a Gates Scholar!!! :-)

@Mananausunwajan‌ @dshoneye‌ @krazed2014 Congratulations Scholars!!!

Finally got my letter!!! Hispanic Gates Millennium Scholar from Georgia!!!

@davinho Congratulations!!

Congrats to all Gates scholars and any future ones.

Happy Easter everyone!!! :smiley:

Will the Gates Millennium also pay for enrollment deposits and housing fees? Or will we be reimbursed later?

@glorianetran‌ We’re not sure. One of the moms said that each school is different so you have to contact the financial aid office. Some schools give you half off your deposit for being a Gates Scholar.

I am one of the few still waiting to hear. I understand an email will go out tomorrow, correct? My mail runs around noon. Anyone know about what time of day the email went out last year?

Of all the Gates Millennium Scholars, how many of you will be first generation college students?

I’m an Asian Gates Scholar for 2014 from small town in Northern California and I will be a first generation college student. :smiley: Good luck in life to the scholars and non-scholars!

I am a Gates scholar!!!

@Sinaj Congratulations!!! I knew you’d get it!!! :wink:

@Martinez64‌ I’m first generation. :-)

Pretty disappointed with the fact, that even though I need the money, I didn’t get the scholarship because my parents are college graduates.

It’s a trend I’ve started to see that I wish would be addressed.
