Gates

I was just studying where the gates were on a campus map. Is the campus, for lack of a better term, fenced in? Is the only way in and out through the gates? And is ID always required to get on campus?

Yes, a bit fenced in. The gates and parking structures are the only way in and out, but most are open 24 hours (a few are just open daytime hours). They don't usually ID you though, unless you look really shady or it's 3am or something. There are non-students on campus all the time though, from people using the credit union or bookstore, to students from local elementary and high schools in community programs. It's never really a problem.

There some other openings for you to get into campus, not just gates on the map or entrace to parking structures.

There's a big entrance from Exposition Blvd to Trousdale Parkway that isn't fenced -- the one you take to get to the Coliseum. In fact, I've never seen this part of campus closed off. Some of the other gates close on weekends and such, but this opening has always been there.
