<p>Not to sound pretentious but WPI is a safety school for me. If I got in, I'd definitely visit but it;s not my top pick. The essay word limit is 200-400 words, but mine's 490 words. Now, my stats are pretty good (2370 SATs, 4.0 GPA, good ECs). SHould I worry about this?</p>
<p>Yeah, WPI is more than a safety for you. There’s even a good chance that you’ll get a full ride, although you probably shouldn’t take it unless you are absolutely sure that you want to study engineering. The essay length limit shouldn’t be a problem (500 words is a more reasonable and common limit than 400 words).</p>
