Gator Engineering at Santa Fe

Anyone still undecided about accepting Gator Engineering at Santa Fe? Anyone already signed on for the upcoming year? What are your housing plans/concerns? How about getting access to three decent meals a day for a young not-yet-cooking male? There appears to be minimal food on the Santa Fe campus available, certainly not a year or mores worth of variety.

Anyone have advice for someone stuck on the fence?

Anyone heading into the program looking for a roommate?

Bueller? Anyone?

What is your other option?

Accepted for CS by both UCF and FSU. Always dreamed of UF though. Finding it hard to let the dream go.

Actually also accepted at FAU and USF but really considering just the 3: UCF, FSU, and GE @ Santa Fe.

How firm are you with engineering? The program creates a cohort so you will find friends. Housing can be as easy as across the street.

Computer Science. Firm. It is included in the program. We checked out the apartments. They are nice. Concerns are living with strangers and a non-driver with some physical limitations taking on the whole living, shopping, cooking, running your life on top of other first year at college/away from home challenges.

He was accepted into the Excel Program at UCF and is very happily going there. They have such a great CS program. Thanx for the replies.

@TappyGee Have you decided yet? SF just announced a partnership with UF Housing that will allow Gator Engineering @ SF students to live on campus in UF Housing! Happy to chat with you about this opportunity.

Yes it was announced too late for us. See post #6 for my prior reply on his decision

That is really interesting news @SantaFeAVP! Thanks for sharing.

Congrats @TappyGee!

My son was accepted to the GE@SF Program and we are thrilled about it! Not only housing through UF, but all GE@SF students have been offered Gator Dining privileges too!! Hard to beat this opportunity if you really want to go to UF
