GatorMail Question

Alright this might be a little dumb but whatever....

So I just accepted my admissions offer for Fall 2009 and was trying to login to Gatormail but I get this error:

GatorMail could not find your INBOX.

It is likely that the mail server is experiencing an internal error. Please contact the Help Desk at (352)392-HELP or helpdesk@ufl.edu if you think this may be the case. If the mail server is temporarily down, you may want to log in again after waiting a few minutes.

It is also possible that you don't have a Gatorlink mailbox. This is often the case when your Gatorlink mail is being forwarded to some other account, and your mailbox hasn't yet been created. Alternately, you may be a Gatorlink user who doesn't qualify for a mailbox. You may edit and view your Gatorlink account information at the Gatorlink account site.

Is this because I am not a full student yet or is there something wrong with my account? I already have a gator link account so I thought I might be able to use Gatormail. Any help would be appreciated...

Give it some time. You will have access to it in a couple of days.

My D also gets that message. When she first applied last year, she set up the email to forward to her Yahoo email account. Now there doesn’t seem to be an option to take that forwarding off. Anyone know how to do that?

I had the same problem, but mine works now and I don’t think I did anything to change it. You can try looking on the [GatorLink Home Page](http://gatorlink.ufl.edu), if you haven’t already, to check the status of the email account.

Mine says "Mailbox creation date Thu Mar 12 09:18:56 2009
Is mail being delivered to this mailbox? Yes "

You should contact UF Computing Help Desk if you still can’t get it to work.
